Blaubok or WordPress?
WordPress powers a large share of the web, and for good reason. It is open source, you can host it anywhere, and a vast library of themes and plugins covers almost any need, from WooCommerce shops to booking calendars. If you self-host, the code and data are fully yours. The cost is upkeep. A business site often depends on many plugins from different makers, each with its own updates, settings and licence, and someone has to keep them working together and secure. Blaubok keeps the ownership and removes most of the assembly. Your site’s code is in your GitHub, the data in your Supabase and the hosting on your Vercel. The CRM, WhatsApp alerts, bookings, checkout, blog and staff roles come from one engine, built to work together and kept up to date by Blaubok while your plan or credits are active. WordPress wins on choice, community and open source. Blaubok wins on getting a working business site without assembling it.

How each one charges
We describe how each tool charges rather than list prices, because prices change often.
How WordPress charges
The WordPress software is free and open source. Running it yourself means paying for hosting and a domain, and often for premium themes and plugins, each priced by its maker, many as yearly licences. Managed WordPress hosts charge more and take on updates, backups and security. WordPress.com, the hosted service run by Automattic, sells its own plans billed monthly or yearly. The total depends on how many paid plugins your site needs, so add those up before you compare.
How Blaubok charges
There is no required subscription. New accounts get free welcome credits, no card needed. After that, buy credit packs as you go, and the credits never expire, or take an optional monthly plan. AI chat uses credits per message, and each built-in feature is charged once per project, never on rebuilds. GitHub, Supabase and Vercel bill you directly, and all three have free tiers. If your plan and credits run out, there is a 14-day grace period, then the engine is committed into your repo so the site keeps building on its own.

Export your content
Use WordPress’s built-in export tool to save your posts and pages, and download your media library. Export customers, orders or form entries from the plugins that hold them.
List your plugins
Write down what each plugin does for you: bookings, forms, payments, SEO, email. Most map to Blaubok engine features, which the chat can wire in.
Describe your business in chat
Sign up, connect GitHub, Supabase and Vercel, and tell the chat what you do, who for, and what the old site handled. It plans the pages and picks the features.
Build and check the preview
Click Build and the site is live on your Vercel in about five minutes. Add your key posts to the blog, and make changes by chat before you publish.
Move the domain and close the old host
Point your domain at Vercel when you are ready. Keep a backup of the WordPress site, then cancel the hosting and plugin licences you no longer need.

WordPress vs Blaubok: common questions
Is Blaubok a good WordPress alternative?
For a business site where you want the back office built in, yes. WordPress gives you open-source software and endless plugins, which you assemble and maintain. Blaubok gives you a CRM, bookings, WhatsApp alerts, payments and a blog from one engine, kept up to date while your plan or credits are active, with the code and data in your own accounts.
Do I own my site with Blaubok, like with self-hosted WordPress?
You own the site’s code, data and hosting accounts: GitHub, Supabase and Vercel are all in your name. The difference is the engine. The built-in features come from a compiled Blaubok package, not open-source code. If your plan and credits lapse, there is a 14-day grace period, then the engine is committed into your repo so the site keeps building on its own.
Where is WordPress better?
WordPress is better when you want open source, any host you like, and the biggest library of themes and plugins. It has a large community, plenty of developers who know it, and a visual block editor. Blaubok does not have that range. It trades choice for a back office that works out of the box.
Can I move a WordPress site to Blaubok?
There is no one-click import. Export your posts, pages and media with WordPress’s own tools, export customer or order data from your plugins, then describe the business in Blaubok’s chat. The new site is built in about five minutes, and you add your content from there. For help with structured data, email info@clickfq.com; we reply within 48 hours.
Is Blaubok cheaper than WordPress?
It depends on your plugins. WordPress itself is free, but hosting, a domain and premium plugins add up, often as yearly licences. Blaubok has no required subscription: free welcome credits, then credit packs that never expire, or an optional monthly plan, and each built-in feature is charged once per project. GitHub, Supabase and Vercel bill you directly and have free tiers.
Do I need a developer?
No. You build and edit by describing changes in chat, and connecting GitHub, Supabase and Vercel is guided step by step. A developer is useful only if you want custom code: they can clone your repo and edit your pages like any Next.js project.
