Sarah's Book Club
A monthly book club in Pune outgrew their Google-Form-and-WhatsApp-group setup. They wanted a real homepage to point new people at — what the club is about, when it meets, the current month's book, and a clean RSVP. Members-only reading list behind a simple passcode.
What gets built
Pages and features, set up by chat
- Hero with the current month's book cover, dates, and an RSVP CTA
- Schedule page showing the next 3 meet-ups and the books for each
- RSVP form that emails Sarah and adds the attendee to a leads table
- Member-only "Past reads" archive behind a shared passcode
- Photo gallery from previous sessions for new members to see the vibe
- Newsletter signup capturing emails for the monthly book announcement
Stack
Real code, on your accounts
- Next.js
- Supabase
- Brevo
- WhatsApp (WABA)
This is an illustrative example, not a client’s site. A site like it is a real Next.js app in your own GitHub, with its data in your own Supabase and hosting on your own Vercel.
The prompt
How a site like this could start
A prompt that gives the AI enough context to build something usable on the first pass.
“Build a website for Sarah's Book Club — a monthly fiction book club in Pune. Hero with the current book cover and "Next meet: Sat 14 Mar, 7 pm." Schedule for the next 3 books. RSVP form that emails sarah@example.com on submit. Member-only past-reads list behind a passcode. Soft indigo and cream palette.”
